Day & Knight Chess Club Terms & conditions

By submitting registration, you agree to hold Day & Knight Chess Club and its instructors, agents, or contractors harmless from any act of ordinary negligence, arising from any damage, accident, or injury whatsoever, however cause, to any person or persons, or the property of any person or persons, or corporations occurring during the times the student is participating within the program up to the time when the student is released in the responsible party’s care. 

 No refunds are provided after the first class. We do not prorate or refund for excused students or for missed classes. Please note that Day & Knight Chess Club will also review the previous topic in each class session.  

Parents do not need to drop-off their student to our chess classes. Students must go to chess class after dismissal. Once the class is finished, parents may pick up their student from chess class, let their student go to daycare, or have their student walk home. 

Students are expected to behave in our chess classes as they are expected to behave in their school classes. We encourage students to have fun and gain a passion for chess. However, we retain the right to excuse any student without refund if they are excessively interruptive, behaving inappropriately, or disrupting the classroom for themselves and for other students. 

To help students retain the knowledge they learn from our lessons, we will provide in-class handouts related to the topic for the relevant lesson. Turning it in is optional, but we recommend the students to do their best and try to complete it by themselves (without the parent’s help). Every class, we will review the previous topic and correct any common mistakes. We highly encourage students to bring a special “chess folder” to keep their handouts. We also encourage parents to learn along after the previous topic is explained & corrected.  

Day & Knight Chess Club reserves the right to capture class moments for marketing & advertising purposes. We may post pictures for social media (IG: dayknightchess) and/or for our website (dayknightchess.com).
